Looking out my office window at the gorgeous day is such a treat...this morning a beautiful robin came and sat on the window sill in the living room, looking inside at the FAKE birds I have sitting INSIDE on the sill...I could almost see his disdain as he examined each one, hoping they would respond to him. :-))

We are so thankful for the mercies of the Lord...He prepared a "light affliction" for us with health problems for Eddie beginning in January.  He spent 15 days in the hospital mid-February, but thanks to the LORD'S mercy, wisdom and skill of the doctors, and cutting edge medicines, he is doing wonderfully well.  I had to fly to our meeting in Maryland ALONE for the first time in 23 years, and believe me, it was an experience that taught me many things.  Eddie refers to his hospital stay as "15 days of vacation" but believe me, it was not that for me...I wept buckets, but GOD was my helper, both at home on the airline trips, and during the meeting.

At BWI airport, God was so good to put me beside a lady coming home who was distressed over just burying a life-long friend.  It was a divine appointment--and within an hour she had bowed her head and heart, receiving Christ as her Savior.  What a JOY!!!!!!!!  We have talked on the phone and corresponded several times since then and I am praying for my new SISTER...is the LORD NOT GOOD?????????!!!!!!!!!!!

We have already started back on our spring schedule with outstanding meetings--each one just a blessing to these two hearts!!  We have seen the Lord work in hearts in unusual ways...and of course we KNOW He is working in most ways that we can't see or know about.  We will be in AL, TX, NC, RI, MD, KY, and WILD WONDERFUL WYOMING before our time off this summer...looking forward to each meeting with anticipation.

We have overnight company coming today--dear missionary friends from Germany, so I'd better get busy or they will have no dinner!!!!!

Love to each of you...thanks to those of you who knew about our trials and prayed for us...thanks to those of you who look for these news articles to keep up with us during the months...be strong in the power of HIS might...hope to see you somewhere "along the trail" this year...

Dear Friends,

I remember thinking back in November:  "Here come the holidays  and they will be over before we know it... I am going to SLOW DOWN and enjoy each day as it comes..."

Well, tomorrow is the first of February, and the past three months have slid by like hot cookies off a greased cookie sheet...out my office window I can see the last vestiges of snow hanging onto patches of grass here and there...I guess this has been our BIG snowstorm for the next 10 years. Funny how everything shuts down here in Chattanooga if more than 6 snowflakes fall...I remember the snowstorms we had in Kansas when I was a girl--deep drifts against the fences and buildings...sometimes up to the roof line!  And how FUN to go out in the fields and pastures with the dogs...where a sparkling, smooth, white blanket covered everything--a fresh canvas for us to mark any way we chose!
